    Et Tu, Brute

    As most of you know, I do love my Shakespeare (you’d think the blog name would make that obvious, huh? 😉 ). I’m inspired, often, by his words. I’ve even decided on a quote to use for a tattoo (if I’m ever brave enough to get one) from my favorite Shakespeare sonnet. That’s how much I love his work. I even know how I want it to look and where I’d want it to go. Unfortunately, I’m a bit of a coward in that particular area. But maybe one day, when I’m a bit more courageous.     Happy 450th William!

    I had meant to write this post yesterday, but, after spending two days getting to know a stomach virus pretty intimately, I had a lot of work to catch up on. So, as Friday’s are supposed to be for Features I am going to make this Friday all about Shakespeare. Why? Firstly, because, ahem, look at the blog name. Secondly, because sometime this week, the world’s greatest playwright was born. This is a big deal for all of us literary geeks.  No one person has influenced literature, and our culture, more than William Shakespeare.     Remind Me Not To Mock the Universe

    I can’t believe it’s finally Friday.  You know what that means? As Jim Carrey says in The Mask: “It’s party time!” I am so ready for this weekend. I’m ready to be able to sleep in tomorrow. I’m ready for the rest and a little bit of fun. I’m not ready for all the kids to be home because it won’t be quiet or peaceful in the least, but it will be good to have more help containing the 2 yr old tornado (who will be turning 3 in three weeks).
