    No pictures today. Just words. The last week has been rough, especially since the Paris shootings which took place this past Wednesday (also my son Jack’s tenth birthday). If you are not aware, the satirical newspaper office of Charlie Hebdo was attacked by gunmen who shot 12 specific unarmed people as well as an officer. The very next day there was another attack at a grocery store in east Paris. I’ve seen and read the reactions from people around the world, and it makes me feel a little bit of comfort that people are acknowledging the senselessness of this act of terrorism.     It’s Been A Day

    Today has been like the pic. It started out pretty good. I got up, got one kid off to school,and another ended up staying home because he’s been unwell, and I just didn’t feel like he needed to be out in the wind today as he’s had a fairly irritating cough. Then, my power unexpectedly went out. I had been listening to some music and I was writing and had hit a really decent groove with the story when, suddenly, everything went dark and quiet.
