Quick Update

Hi everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. To those of you who had school start, like I did, congratulations for making it through the summer with your sanity (some of it anyway) parents, and kids…I’m sorry you have to go indoors and sit in a classroom on perfectly good days.

So, I do have a couple of new items I’ve begun writing and I will put up portions as soon as I can. I’m still working on The Faerie’s Tale but it’s going rather slowly currently. And at the moment I am trying to get this post finished because I have so many other things I have to get done today. Life is never dull in August.

Anyway, I will be back to regular posting soon (hopefully within the next couple of weeks), and I am looking forward to it. This summer has felt as if it dragged on for me though I’m sure my kids think it was too short. I am truly looking forward to fall and the end of mosquitoes and cooler weather.

Also, Outlander has begun showing on Starz and I am VERY happy about that (picture Snoopy doing his ‘happy happy joy joy’ dance). I have been a big fan of the Outlander series almost since Diana Gabaldon began writing it. I came into the series right after Voyager was written and I have bought every book since. This is my favorite book series. I had always hoped for a movie but am extremely glad it is being done as a television series now. I’ve been watching the extra sections on Starz and reading articles, and I really love what Ronald D. Moore is doing with the show. He is staying as true to the books as possible, and I LOVE that he includes Ms. Gabaldon in the whole production. It’s just incredible. I think they picked the right people for the characters and I am completely enjoying seeing the interplay between Catriona Balfe’s Claire and Sam Heughan’s Jamie. I honestly can’t picture anyone else in those roles. It’s just an incredible thing. The only problem I have with the show is that it isn’t long enough! Just when I am so engrossed in the show as to be in Scotland, the show is over and I’m plunged back into my world. I just want more! I will definitely be getting this on blu-ray. Go check Outlander outon Starz if you can.

Alrighty then. I have to go but I will be back posting regularly before you know it. Can’t wait!
