Forward Into Battle!!!

Just because I feel like saying “watch me” today. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you can’t. Show them that you can.

Cry God For Harry

By Jesi

“Then imitate the action of the tiger:

Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,

Disguise fair nature with hard-favored rage,

Then lend the eye a terrible aspect…”

~Shakespeare (Henry V-Act 3, Scene 1)

Imitate the tiger, the true king of the jungle.

Let the pretenders to the throne declare their assertion

Of their God-given right to succession.

What do they know of strength?

Let the blood race through your veins,

Through sinews, through muscles,

Reverberating heart like beating drums in your chest.

Wait,

Like the calm before a storm,

Let the power build.

Allow fury to fill your eyes,

Set your teeth and quicken your breath,

Disguise yourself in shadows and light,

With grace in every move,

Silk rippling in the breeze.

Be still now

As your prey moves ever closer,

Breathe in, deeply, just a moment more

Until the last

Possible

Second

Wait for it…

Wait for it…

Strike!

She loves to rescue stray bookmarks, as well as books, and has opened her heart to any and all stories needing a home. Archery is her current favorite thing ever but you might want to stand back a little as she still has a tendency to drop the bow occasionally.

Rofl! Thanks Cindy! But why does everyone keep saying that??? Seriously, I’m, like, so not that bad. I’m totally impotent. All bark, no bite. Ignore the bow and arrows, by the way. LoL
Really this was more tension release than anything. I love those lines ‘imitate the action of the tiger’ and ‘lend the eye a terrible aspect’.
I actually have this ornament on my keyring that says ‘though she be but little, she is fierce’. I used to make my best friend laugh because when I get really angry I stomp one foot but that’s about it. She thinks it’s hilarious.
